| HOMEOWNER CRIES FOR HELP... |

QUESTION:
When I turn my ac on the handler comes on, but the outside condenser does not, it makes a buzzing sound. If I give the fan a push, it will run, but not full strength. and will shut off 15-20 mins, later. Is this sound like i need a new fan motor, or could it be something else, like the contactor. I did replace the two fuses and the contactor is fairly new. thanks

| ANSWER:
sounds like the capacitor is bad definitely and you also probably have a bad fan motor or will have in the future I would replace both but if you like you can just replace the capacitor and see how long it lasts they are very cheap and worth the try because you know it is bad anyway.
