HOMEOWNER CRIES FOR HELP...
posted: September 8th, 2008 - 2:04pm
QUESTION:
Any solutions out there to solve this problem? We're thinking perhaps the blades can be painted with some appropriate, non-reflective material? Or can non-reflective blades be exchanged in the unit somehow? The effect is strobe-like and very distracting and annoying, both inside reflecting right into the kitchen, and outside, reflecting on the walls of the house, behind the screening.
ANSWER: Yes, just the cheapest can the parts store/box store has. don't get a bunch of blobs on it though, you don't want to get the fan out of balance! just spray a light coat on each blade. oh, and KILL THE BREAKER FIRST! you don't want it coming on while you have it open. NEVER rely on the tstat to keep it off.
