QUESTION:
My A/C is leaking but the drain pan is dry. It's not leaking from the unit that sits above the drain pan, it's leaking from the unit that is attached to but sits next to the drain pan.
|
ANSWER:
I may not be able to tell you what is happening but I know for sure it ain't normal there should not be any water outside your unit except that which is going down your drain the next time this happens you should check to make sure your drain line is clear but it sounds like you may be describing a condensate pump, if so you can unplug it, shut the power off and clean out the tank on the pump, blow through the discharge tube and put it back together. Then plug it back in pour some water in it and see if it will pump all right.
