| HOMEOWNER CRIES FOR HELP... |
| posted: September 8th, 2008 - 2:04pm |
QUESTION:
We are building in the Bahamas. The house is designed that we should be able to use cross ventilation to cool most of the time, however would like to install ac in bedrooms only. Klimaire seems to be the units we've seen there - any feed back on these or other recommendations. The 2 bedrooms are each a total of 16' x 22' , vaulted 14' ceiling with a partial wall separating the main area and walk in closet and bathroom. The bathroom only has sink and toilet and a door to outdoor shower. The house is elevated on pilings.

ANSWER:
A 12,000 btu unit for each should be sufficient just make sure not to spend too much because in that environment they won't last long. The salt air wrecks the coils in a very short time unless you can find a unit that has coated coils.
