| HOMEOWNER CRIES FOR HELP... |
| posted: September 8th, 2008 - 2:04pm |
QUESTION:
I live in a not to old mobile home in North Texas. My son's and my own bedroom are located on either side of the AC closet. For some reason, our rooms do not cool down like the rest of the house. Seems like there's a kink in the ducting or a coupling come apart. Is there any way to diagnose the problem without a bunch of cutting up the ceiling?

ANSWER:
Most mobile home systems utilize a duct system in the floor of the unit so any ubstruction or air flow loss should only be possible right at the floor register. Pull out the register and check air flow it also may be possible that the air is bypassing the closest supply taps due to pressure problems but this is not likely in a mobile home air condtioning system.
