QUESTION:
We are converting a detached garage into a pool house. We are trying to decide on what type of heat/ac to use. We do not want to go all out with a central unit, and are trying to keep expenses down and we are DIY all the way. Does anyone have any feed back.

| ANSWER:
You will get alot of opinions but what I do in these situations everytime (without any negative feedback)is install a PTAC (hotel style) unit 18,000 btu will be plenty and if you do it yourself $1000 to $1200 should cover everything electrical included.
