| About Us |
HI my name is mike newberry, I have been helping
customers in the air conditioning and heatingservice field for over
twenty years and I have realized one thing in all that time.
The only reason many people don't repair their own equipment and SAVE
HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS EVERY TIME is they think there is some mysterious
knowledge that needs to be gained through years of technical school
apprenticeship.
That is just not true, this stuff is not rocket science.
Your central heating and air conditioning system is an appliance,
just like your dishwasher or your vacuum cleaner.
The only difference is that because of the low cost of those items
there not worth fixing.
This is not true of your air conditioner.
In my over twenty years of experience in this field I have seen many
changes in the industry. Myself and my employees have been factory
trained by the major manufacturers.
While I was still in high school I started working in the health care
field on building control systems. Over the next twenty years I have
worked on everything from institutional chiller systems to window
air conditioners and everything in between.
The most frustrating thing I have encountered in my work with private
companies and in my own business is knowing that many of the customers
I encounter could make there own simple repairs if someone could help
them take the mystery out of it.
I remember a gentleman who actually spent a lot of his time rebuilding
cars, he was obviously very handy and he understood exactly what I
was talking about when I explained why his air conditioner was not
working.
The company I worked for at the time charged him $374 for a $30 part
and 1.5 hours of my time and while I understand they needed to make
money I always thought that with a little bit of help he could easily
have fixed it himself, and so can you. |
